Join My Museums in Cape Town Project

As part of my work as a Media Theory & Practice honours student at the University of Cape Town, I’ll be conducting a research study and potentially also a blog on museums in Cape Town. Please consider participating. There are two components to this project:

1) Research study: How do youth respond to South African museum websites and blogs?

If you’re between the ages of 18 and 35, and live in South Africa, please consider joining a focus group. This is a moderated discussion between 6 to 10 people on the topic of museum websites. Your responses will automatically be kept confidential and anonymous. The focus group will be conducted online.

2) Journalism project: Museums in Cape Town blog

If you think you might be willing to be interviewed and/or informally polled about your experiences of museums in Cape Town and/or your thoughts on heritage in South Africa for journalistic articles, please provide your contact details below. Please note that you need to be over 18 to be interviewed and capable of giving informed consent. If you would like to stay anonymous, that can be arranged.

If you think you may be interested in writing or otherwise contributing media for the blog, please also sign up so that we can discuss this.

Thank you!
